Interviewer: Can we know you sir?
MONEB: My name is Barrister Monday Eboigbe. From my name, you already know what I do. I am an aspirant for the Edo State governorship seat come 2024 under Labour Party.
Interviewer: Such seat is a huge one. Why exactly are you running for the office?
MONEB: No better time than this for us to start thinking. Truly, it is not enough to say, l want to be governor. My people are in pain. The only thing they understand now is better living, affordable household items and so on. I have outlined each of these problems with matching solutions.
Interviewer: What are you bringing to the table?
MONEB: I know your problem, l have been part of you and l know how to solve them. Edo is a great state, let us make it greater. We have gold, bitumen, oil, lime stone, green land and host of others. Dubai do not have quarter of what we have, but they have leaders that are interested in their people. I have a dream for Edo people, l am not a child of the very affluence, l came to where l am through the ropes. You need a commoner to solve our common problem.
Interviewer: What should people expect from the aspirants?:
MONEB: We need to ask the aspirants questions. We don’t ask vital questions that is why, we are not able to hold them accountable. Electorates are interested in how much the aspirants are willing to give for their vote.
Interviewer: Are you saying vote buying reduces an aspirant’s or a candidate’s competence?
MONEB: This is more than vote buying, it is an investment, Have you ever seen a trader who intends to lose in his investment? I am not a trader, l have come to offer you service. I have no money to give you, if l have, l will not give. Nominate and vote for me for service delivery.
Interviewer: What final words do you have for our readers?
MONEB: Let us collectively sacrifice to build this state. Nominate and vote for me, under the Labour Party for Governor 2024. Let us think of the future and Make that brave decision come 2024 and be proud of the man whom you have nominated. I come to serve.
